Public Policy and Advocacy Work for Parkinson's

DopaFit has helped over 15 cities in MA declare April as Parkinson's Awareness Month. Through Public Policy and Advocacy Chad and his team meet with Senators on a yearly basis to discuss important issues on behalf of people with Parkinson's. The most recent initiative is getting Bill H142, specifically geared toward Firefighters living with PD, passed through Congress.

We are a community oriented organization that participates in Parkinson's community events throughout the United States

We raised $10,000 for The American Parkinson's disease Association Massachusetts Chapter and were the number 1 fundraising team! Go DopaFit Warriors!!

New England Parkinson Ride

Every year DopaFit has a team at the NE Parkinson's Ride that takes place in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

National Network of Libraries of Medicine-Collaboration with The Art Cart and our Micrographia Initiative

Through our exercise programs, we have been able to prove that our exercises decrease reaction time and improve hand writing in people with Parkinson's disease. In collaboration with The Art Cart, we are working on creating a training program for medical professionals to teach them how to help people with PD improve their handwriting. This project is funded by The National Network of Libraries of Medicine, a branch of NIH.
